Deciphering the mechanisms of toxicity

Published on 2 November 2022
The CIBEST team has expertise in both chemistry and cellular biology. Our research is thus motivated by the understanding of the chemical mechanisms and the resulting biochemical consequences underlying toxicological events. The use of chemical properties of organic compounds and biomolecules is also key to the design of diagnostic and therapeutic tools. In order to collect relevant data, suitable models at the molecular level like isolated DNA or at the cellular level are necessary.

Oxidative stress
Interaction metals/peptides
UV and DNA damage
DNA adducts
DNA repair
DNA Epigenetic modifications
Advanced cellular models
Mixture effects
