The wide variety of DNA damage is handled by numerous repair systems. The most studied at CIBEST are related to damaged bases and include base excision repair (BER) and nucleotide excision repair (NER). Our work aim at evaluating how toxic agents modulate DNA repair activities and, conversely, how defects in DNA repair affect the severity of the toxic effects.
