Magnetic nanoparticles can be modified so that they can bind to specific target cells with strong affinities. Research at CIBEST aims at taking advantage of these properties in order to activate bound magnetic NP and induce cellular responses for the killing of tumor cells or the stimulation of insulin secretion by pancreatic cells.
