RoleTenure scientist
Specialist in EPR spectroscopy and time-resolved spectroscopies
Current study topics and expertise
My scientific specialisation is EPR (Electron Paramagnetic Resonance) spectroscopy. EPR is analogous to NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) but is used for the study of magnetic (paramagnetic, ferromagnetic, ferrimagnetic, etc.) systems. I use this spectroscopic technique to study many classes of physical (faults in solids, magnetism, spintronics, quantum computing), chemical (metallic complexes, free radicals) and biological (metalloproteins, etc.) systems. My activities also include instrument- and method-development aspects. In particular, I work with advanced techniques combining EPR with electrical/optical measurements which allow me to perform time-resolved experiments (nanosecond scale) with pulsed lasers.
