How dye-sensitised solar cells could revolutionise solar energy


​​​​​​​The PISCO project, led by Renaud Demadrille (CEA-Irig/SyMMES/STEP) and completed in September 2025, has been selected for a special communication on the European website (CORDIS).

As part of the PISCO project, funded by the European Research Council, Renaud Demadrille and his team built on a previous novel proposal to combine photochromism and photovoltaic concepts, creating the first semi-transparent solar cell capable of optically adapting to light and weather conditions.
