The CREAB Team
Dr. Y. Hou-Broutin's group belongs to the CREAB team, which is a part of the laboratory SyMMES. Dr. Y. Hou-Broutin is the head of the CREAB team, composed of 13 permanent staffs (5 lectures, 5 researchers, 1 engineer and 2 technicians), and 17 non-permanents including PhD students, postdocs, and internship students.
The CREAB team develops multidisciplinary research activities at the interface between physics-chemistry-biology with two principal axes:
1) the design, the development and the use of biosensors and biochips for the analysis of interactions from the molecular scale up to more complex biological objects such as cells or bacteria for applications in the field of health technologies.
2) the conception and the use of bio-inspired and bio-hybrid nanostructures based on biopolymers like DNA and its analogues, DNA origamis, etc. for applications beyond health technologies in fields like nanolithography, functional materials, nanophotonics, etc.
The SyMMES laboratory
The SyMMES laboratory is located at CEA-Grenoble. It is a joint research unit between CEA, CNRS, Universty Grenoble Alpes, and Grenoble INP.
The SyMMES aims to develop fundamental research on several themes with a strong societal impact: carbon-free energies, information and communication technologies, biotechnologies and human health. SyMMES targets the design, synthesis and study of innovative and original molecular architectures and functional materials. SyMMES is also interested in the reactivity and properties of biomolecules, thus providing an original approach to biological questions.
